I’m honored to share that my chapter, “The Gift of Play: Raising Healthy, Resilient Children,” will appear as Chapter 3 in the upcoming anthology Brave Families: The Ultimate Guide to Long-Lasting, Loving Relationships, set to release in July 2026.

In this chapter, I explore something deeply important to me: the healing, connecting, and resilience-building power of play. Through personal stories and reflections, I share how moments of laughter, imagination, movement, and simple presence can help children feel safe, valued, and emotionally strong — even in imperfect circumstances.

Play is far more than entertainment. It is one of the earliest languages of connection, trust, and belonging.

I’m grateful to be part of this meaningful collaboration and excited to share more as launch day approaches.

Until then, may we continue to protect the gift of play — because within play lives connection, healing, courage, and hope.

    Thank you for sharing, you will bring so much wisdom to this beautiful book.

    My chapter is chapter 7 Three Generations of Women: Learn about the Past to Bring Healing to the Now.

    I spent time asking Mum about her childhood during the second world war, as best she could share what my grandmother went through.

    Then time with her asking about what she, as my mother, went through around my accident as a baby and my sister Gillian’s death. Then shared aspects of my healing journey.

    It has been such an eye opener to learn about Mum from a different perspective.

    I will be sharing this book with my 5 nieces and nephews, 4 of whom have 9 children between them.
